MMA Files selects 6 winners for each UFC event with ‘Six of the Best: Betting Tips’. UFC 198: Werdum vs Miocic in Curitiba, Brazil is the next blockbuster event taking place on Sunday (Australian time) and MMA Files has you sorted.

Fabricio Werdum ($1.60) vs Stipe Miocic ($2.32)

Miocic got his shot at the title with a quick KO of Andrei Arlovski. Werdum has looked dominant since returning to the UFC and in his last fight taking the undisputed belt from Cain Velazquez. Werdum always has a plan ‘B’ if his original approach isn’t working. This makes him so difficult to beat. He is great on the feet and a predator on the ground. Miocic has great hands and needs to get inside and stay in the pocket to score strikes. Werdum is very crafty and will do enough to avoid Miocic’s strengths to extend his reign as the heavyweight champion.

Winner – Fabricio Werdum

Ronaldo Souza ($1.34) vs Vitor Belfort ($3.25)

‘Jacare’ Souza is going to want to get this fight to the ground against Belfort. Belfort is one of the fastest starters in all of MMA and uses this to overwhelm his opponents. Souza has good hands too so he will be able to stand with Belfort. Does being able to stand with Belfort mean survival and then success? If opponents can survive the early onslaught then they can set up the victory. I think that Souza might not be able to survive.

Winner – Vitor Belfort

Mauricio Rua ( $2.32) vs Corey Anderson ($1.62)

Anderson has been piling up the victories in the light-heavyweight division and manages to do enough to get the win almost every time. 5-1 in the UFC is good but Rua will be a different test for him. Rua can do it all but has been in so many battles. This will be a close fight but I think Rua gets his hand raised.

Winner – Mauricio Rua

Demian Maia ($1.31) vs Matt Brown ($3.47)

Maia schooled fellow Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ace Gunnar Nelson in his last fight but Brown will be a whole new puzzle. Maia needs to get it to the ground to win the fight. Brown has forward pressure like few in MMA and can run through opponents. He has to keep the fight standing and if he does he can put the pain on Maia. This will be a spectacular battle and I think Brown gets the upset.

Winner – Matt Brown

Nate Marquardt ($3.72) vs Thiago Santos ($1.28)

Marquardt has so much experience and has all the skills. Santos has been improving each fight and blemishing Elias Theodorou’s professional record was a great example of this. I think Santos can put in another good performance and come out on top.

Winner – Thiago Santos

John Lineker ($1.59) vs Rob Font ($2.38)

Font has looked excellent to start his UFC career and comes up against the devastating hands of Lineker. This fight will be special to watch and when Lineker is involved there is more than likely a crazy brawl. Look for Lineker to make that next step to a title shot.

Winner – John Lineker
