Six of the Best: Betting Tips – UFC on FOX 19: Evans vs Teixeira
By Owen Phillips 16/4/16 Betting
MMA Files will try to find you 6 winners from each UFC event with ‘Six of the Best: Betting Tips’. Let’s take a look at UFC on FOX 19: Evans vs Teixeira which takes place on Sunday (Australian time). So many great fights and opportunities make some pocket money for the week ahead!
Rose Namajunas ($1.40) vs Tecia Torres ($2.95)
Tecia Torres is yet to suffer defeat in her pro career and his already beaten Namajunas before in 2013. Namajunas has improved a lot since then and gets a chance at redemption. Torres is very difficult to hit because she has great kickboxing and movement. It’s going to be very close but I feel that Namajunas can use her explosive submissions to turn the few opportunities she gets to put her hands on Torres into a match winning performance.
Winner – Rose Namajunas
Hacran Dias ($2.00) vs Cub Swanson ($1.81)
Dias is one of Jose Aldo’s training partners and is a very capable fighter. He has only lost three times in his pro career and has beaten Darren Elkins who is a tough fight for anyone. Swanson has been fighting top competition for a long time but has hit a two-fight losing skid for the first time in his career. This is winnable fight for Swanson and I believe he will be able to hurt Dias enough to get his hand raised.
Winner – Cub Swanson
Bethe Correia ($2.95) vs Raquel Pennington ($1.40)
The last time Bethe Correia fought was the ill-fated title bout with Ronda Rousey. Getting knocked out and losing for the first time was a new experience for Correia but she was positive almost immediately about improving and getting back to the top of the womens bantamweight division. Pennington is extremely talented, can take a shot and has crafty submissions. This is going to be one of the best fights on the card and Correia will be looking to brawl in her typical style. I’m leaning towards Correia for the win.
Winner – Bethe Correia
Court McGee ($2.40) vs Santiago Ponzinibbio ($1.57)
McGee is one of the toughest guys in MMA. He has never been finished and this makes it very difficult for explosive opponents to get the job done early. Ponzinibbio wants to get in there and starch his opponent with heavy hands and he will have to do this against McGee if he wants to get the victory. McGee gets better throughout the fight, has high pressure and output. In an upset I think Ponzinibbio may shock McGee and catch him thus getting his hand raised.
Winner – Santiago Ponzinibbio
John Dodson ($1.16) vs Manny Gamburyan ($5.25)
Dodson is coming up from the flyweight division back to bantamweight where has had some success. Gamburyan is well rounded, experienced and will make life tough for Dodson. Dodson is so quick, has power and I feel his elusiveness will prove the difference in this one.
Winner – John Dodson
Oluwale Bamgbose ($1.50) vs Cezar Ferreira ($2.60)
This will be very interesting to see whether Ferreira can combat the fire-power of Bamgbose. Ferreira was a fellow member of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil Season 1 as Daniel Sarafian who was Bamgbose’s last opponent and it didn’t end well for him. Ferriera has found it tough going in the UFC after winning three straight, losing the last two by KO. I don’t feel this one will be any different to his recent fights and Bamgbose puts his name in lights again.
Winner – Oluwale Bamgbose
